Adults: 12 years and older
Children: 2 to up to 12 years old
Infants: 0 to up to 2 years old (infants must be less than 2 years of age at the time of the return flight in order to obtain an infant fare)
There are two parts to the policy:
Fifteen Month Inactive Account Closure Policy
Simply put, this means that accounts with no activity (earning or redeeming My Rewards Points) in a 15 month period will become inactive and the My Rewards Points in the account will expire. It is simple to keep your account active, simply use your HSBC Premier and Advance Credit Card for all your shopping or spend your My Rewards Points on rewards
Three Year My Rewards Points Expiry Policy
A simple way to view this is that My Rewards Points have a shelf life of three years. Therefore, we encourage members to enjoy their My Rewards Points before the end of their shelf life; otherwise these My Rewards Points will be deducted from their account. All My Rewards Points collected will be available for redemption for 3 years (36 months) following the date they were credited to the account. Any My Rewards Points that are not redeemed after the 3 years will be deducted from the account and expired.
For example, if a member earned 500 My Rewards Points in February 2013 they will be able to redeem these My Rewards Points until February 2016.
